Enriching Experiences
At Lingfield Nursery School, we believe that children learn best when they have opportunities to experience a wide range of exciting and enriching activities. Alongside our core curriculum, we offer a selection of extra-curricular experiences, which are included within our consumables price.
These experiences provide children with opportunities to develop new skills, explore different interests and learn in new and exciting ways.
🌳 Forest School
Our Forest School session gives children the opportunity to learn and explore in an outdoor environment. Through hands-on experiences in nature, children develop confidence, independence, resilience and problem-solving skills. They are encouraged to take appropriate risks, work together, explore the natural world and develop a sense of responsibility for their environment.
Forest School supports our Learn, Nurture and Shine values by encouraging children to be curious learners, nurturing their wellbeing and helping them develop the confidence to try new things.
⚽ Tiny Tekkers
Tiny Tekkers provides fun and engaging physical activity sessions designed specifically for young children. Through age-appropriate games and activities, children develop their gross motor skills, coordination, balance and spatial awareness, while also learning to work as part of a team.
Sessions encourage children to be active, have fun and develop confidence in their physical abilities, supporting both their physical development and personal, social and emotional wellbeing.
🎵 Sing and Sign
Sing and Sign combines music, singing and simple signs to support children’s communication and language development. Using songs, repetition and visual signs, children are encouraged to express themselves, develop their understanding and build confidence in communicating with others.
The sessions are fun, interactive and inclusive, providing children with another way to communicate their needs, thoughts and feelings while developing their listening, attention and language skills.
Through these enriching experiences, we aim to provide every child with opportunities to Learn new skills, be Nurtured through supportive relationships and experiences, and Shine as confident, capable and curious individuals.
